Why did I start this blog? I mean, Texan Wasteland is clearly a reference to Midwest Wasteland, a show by Don and crew over at VideoGameNews.com, so why start a blog and not a podcast? Patience for you, and impatience for me is the main reason. I want to start a podcast that is similar in style to the aforementioned Midwest Wasteland, where I Skype up a few of my friends and bounce memories of our childhood or other crazy antics as sort of an audio diary of our lives, but as I am a recent college graduate who is currently unemployed and seeking a job, I am writing this from my old bedroom in the house that I grew up in, squarely above my parent's bedroom.
Seriously? You're 22 years old and still living at home. Patience, as this will be remedied soon enough if I can ever get back in touch with a few schools that I have applied to.
But back to the blog. I have always had an inkling to write, and I have created and abandoned several blogs, fan fictions, and forum handles before, so I would expect that this might be the same. But I am trying to turn over a new leaf in life, and flee the repressed nature of my childhood, so maybe this will be cathartic.
